The FFCAM clubs Pyrenees Orientales gathered this weekend 28 and 29 September to mark the mountain.
On these days the mountain festival, the Cafistes were able to discover the different facets of mountain activities : escalation, spéléo, canyon, via ferrata, Hiking, and VTT.
The mountain rescuers of the CRS and the & rsquo; & rsquo s crew, helicopter Civil Protection, Dragon 66, intervened to present their audience with individual assignments. They reported various modes & rsquo; s intervention in the & rsquo; ear participants. Their knowledge of rescue techniques n & rsquo; is further proof. Their main problem is the location of victims on the ground. After passing a clear message to 112, two principles to remember : know the conventional gestures Yes / No communication and report the victim with a blanket. Do not rely on GPS Smartphone. If you don & rsquo; re not specialists, GPS coordinates format error can direct rescuers more 70 km from your location ! After informal discussions, their response s & rsquo; concluded with a winching demonstration performed masterfully.
The day s & rsquo; ended with a convivial meal where & rsquo; we have seen that Cafistes are both in & rsquo; comfortable with a rope that & rsquo; with a barbecue grill.
