With Zoe, Ines, Lucia, Faustina, Augustin, Marius, Eloise and Abel, Said, Pierre, Jérémy, Nico et François.

First outing and very first for some of the youngest members of the club. The weather was perfect, not too hot, nor too cold, pas de vent. And always a splendid landscape in this Alentou valley.

We confronted this vertical maieutics, exchanges with Mrs. Gravity. Without her, climbing would not exist. The management of our emotions relating to this fear of heights is an essential component of our activity.. This vital and archaic reflex can paralyze us. Unleashing your fighting spirit and surpassing yourself in climbing is not easy. Contrary to what one might think, climbing is not just a physical sport. The mental part is fundamental and inseparable. So that our brain does not, our thoughts and emotions do not become limiting factors, we can tame them, even tame them. Whether it's about succeeding in overcoming your fears (to fall, to fail, to succeed…), to find the deep motivation to climb above the points, to achieve settling… For those who are interested, plethora of publications or conferences are currently coming out on the subject. The 176 pages of the excellent book by Fred Vionnet and Léo Decamboux, “The mind of the climber”, published in June, dissect this aspect of our activity. It is also possible to view the conferences offered by the National School of Skiing and Mountaineering online..

Congratulations to our little ones from the climbing school who left Madame Gravité speechless in the routes. They can be proud of themselves.

Many thanks to Said, Peter and Jeremy, the dads who accompanied us. A nod to Pierre who discovered climbing within the former Vingraupithèque club, who was at the genesis of Prehistoroc. Around his daughter to take the same path. The circle is complete.
