Some last minute cancellations. Jeanne who does not arrive. We only meet at 6. Big Blue. Neither one, nor two, change of program. We're going to take a break from our long-pitch shoes in Vingrau. Recovery of the had’oc viteuf gear and we are off to the Greenhouse. Goal of the day : the Carcassonne, 70 m high dimension D (Difficile), which is covered in three lengths (5a, 5b, 5c). This is the first big route I climbed when I was in high school.
Another face of our vertical activity, where the pleasure of the gesture merges with that of the emotions experienced and shared. A day that will be remembered for a long time. Beautiful treat on the beautiful rock of Vingrau ! Everything was there, just missed the night return. Bravo the team, great adventure !
“Shut up seagulls !” Only those present today will understand. 🙂

Return to the foot of the route in front of the climbed face
We were thinking of going on an ice cream spree with Daniel at the end of the Christmas holidays. I talk about it with Rom at the beginning of December who is keen to accompany us, Antoine will complete the team. We meet three CAF clubs from the bottom of the department (Tautavel, Saint-Estève and Perpignan) to procrastinate on our destination. Grrr, nothing is formed, everything is dry ! We are starting to doubt going to lick ice cream. The Pyrenees, Gavarnie's webcams show us a circus that looks sad ; A cell, it's dead ; the Hautes Alpes, the high-society (understand Savoie), not better. Then it starts to leak on some forums that things are going up in Cogne, the mecca of the genre. A bit far, but OK, comme d’hab, go !
Nice trip. Need to get up very, very early to be the first to reach the bits of ice. Nothing or almost nothing is in condition in Europe, except a few things in Austria. All the glacionauts of Europe are in the area. Nice meeting ! A little too much perhaps, it works well. Great welcome from our Italian neighbors, good wine from the Aosta Valley accompanied by Fontina. And as a return trip gift, the south face of Mont-Blanc…
A cottage to recommend in Aymavilles >> Residence Les Moulins.
