Pentecost weekend in the mountains of Thaurac ...
Thirteen schools climbing and adventure FFCAM found themselves on the massive Thaurac, in the gorges of the & rsquo; Hérault, during the weekend of Pentecost.
From across the region - Saint Chely d'Apcher (Lozère), Perpignan, Tautavel, Saint Stephen (Pyrenees Orientales), Carcassonne (Aude) Uzes Brignon (Gard), Béziers (Hérault) – everyone pitched his tent Saturday morning at the campsite “the cricket” Montoulieu then sped to feel the pebble.
In 8 with 18 years, more than sixty young climbers of our schools went their slippers worn on the beautiful cliffs of Thaurac, supervised by licensed our federation.
Saturday night, waiting for the meal, many went to cool off so inviting pool and feel the slackline. A buffet had been prepared by Boris, Campsite manager : Tabbouleh, charcuterie locale, cheese, fruit country, enough to satisfy the appetites fiercest teen…
Sunday, other cliffs waiting young… It took playing with different orientations of the climbing areas to protect us from the sun had finally decided to bump ! In rinds, the day parade, but participants were in no hurry as they would return the next day. Many areas were visited during our stay : Benje sector, Baume d’Aymé, or the wall of the cave Demoiselles…
Climbing frames and d & rsquo schools adventure took the opportunity to meet in the evening to exchange and share their experiences ; many presidents and regional technical delegates (DTR) were present : John (mountaineering), François (escalation), André (youth), for all engine components & rsquo; entertainment of our associations.
As summarized André d'Orange, “this weekend was very rewarding : appropriated some specific new techniques on this massive offering unprecedented situations for them ; others spent their first night under the stars ; others have discovered life in the community ... By leaving, all have made an appointment to next year. This will be on the weekend of Pentecost, final date chosen, mais où …can be a Tautavel if the site is reopened. Thank you to the organizers, and of course participants, without whom this collection would not exist ..”
